About the event
Join us on the front lawn of the Summerland Museum to hear personal stories shared by people in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community living in Summerland. Partnering with the Summerland Museum for this event to raise awareness that the museum archives lack 2SLGBTQIA+ representation because of historical discrimination and societal views that made it unsafe for people to be out. 2SLGBTQIA+ people have always been here, with particular acknowledgment that Two Spirit Syilx Okanagan people have lived on these lands for thousands of years before colonization.
