COVID 19

Covid-19 has made the last year extremely difficult and sad for so many people around the world. It is hard to believe it has been over a year that we have all been living in a worldwide pandemic.

We continue to live with restrictions and health orders within BC. For the second year, we are not going to be planning any large in-person gatherings to celebrate Pride month and we continue to refrain from planning and hosting any in-person socials and events.

However, as a Pride organization, we are still working behind the scenes, writing grants for the future, setting up bursaries for graduating LGBTQ2+ students, planning online events and education sessions, and connecting with community members through our Facebook page, email and website. We thank everyone who has continued to purchase memberships to help our organization continue, and to everyone who has emailed us, liked a Facebook post and kept advocating for our community throughout this past year. We look forward to a day (sometime soon we hope) that we can celebrate each other and the strength and resilience everyone has faced amid this pandemic.
